• Cleaning the surrounding areas of Tumpat District Council every working day, starting from 7.30 am to 4.15 pm.
  • Collection of solid waste in the business areas and transportation to the garbage collecting center every day from 7.30 am to 2.30 pm.
  • Collection of solid waste in school areas is done according to schedule.
  • Waste are disposed in holes dug by a bulldozer and are leveled every day.
  • The holes where garbage is dumped will be covered by soil when it is full.
  • Ensure that the garbage collecting centre is safe from fire and does not become a breeding ground for flies, thus polluting the environment.
  • Grass cutting in parks, open spaces, road sides, fields, and public places, are cut within a cycle of 21 days.
  • All drains are cleaned within a cycle of 30 days (depending on the drain condition). 
  • All main drainage system is cleaned at least once a year.
  • Public places like public toilets, taxi stands and bus stops must always be clean.
  •  Wet market is cleaned daily by the lessor.
  • All contractors carrying out construction works for the council, JKR, JPS, private institutions, or personal, are regularly monitored so that solid waste and other places in the area are always in a clean condition.
  • Services are provided to new housing developments which have been completed as soon as the Certificate of Fitness (CF) is issued.
  •  Each developer needs to provide their own public trash cans before CF is released.
  • Rubbish must be put into garbage bags, tied tightly and placed in trash containers or trash cans.
  • Setting up Tumpat, Pekan Wakaf Bharu, Pekan Chabang Empat and Pengkalan Kubor toward becoming garden cities.
  • Plant 10,000 shade trees and shrubs a year for greenery and ecological purposes.
